Our Dental Crown Process

A crown procedure takes two visits. On the first visit, we remove any decay, cracks, and old fillings and then create the space we need for the crown material. We then make an impression of the tooth to send to the laboratory and create a temporary crown to protect the tooth. The laboratory will use the impression to create a custom crown designed to look and function like a natural tooth.

On the second visit, we remove the temporary crown and try in the custom crown. We check the fit and make any necessary adjustments prior to cementing the crown with a permanent cement.
